So last week was the first rehearsal. It went pretty well , although by the time the day was done the kids looked fried. They stuck with me even when I broke out in my Molly Ringwald dance:

I've had to sit with my piano and guitar for hours dissecting these songs and making sure all the chords and changes are correct. I've been so anal that I started looking up chords on the internet to make sure I was naming them correctly! (for the best site on the net for naming chords correctly http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/piano/ .
For instance, in The Final Countdown, the piano/synth chords that are played underneath the insane trumpety synth riff are:

F#m D Bm E Fm(b5) (F G# B) (repeat 4x)
F#m E/G# A D C#sus4 (C# F# G#) C#M

But it's the little things that make a girl like me happy and I would rather call the damn chord what it is ! It's a friggin C#sus4 dammit!

And I must say, my love for Dale Bozzio grows and grows. She's what I wish I was.
