interesting fact...or maybe not

The comparison between the first guitar I ever bought, and the most recent guitar I was given.





So above, is the first electric guitar I bought, a Fender 1958 Duo Sonic. Me and an ex went to one of those vintage guitar shows. Those were so awesome back in the day when you could actually buy something!! I think it was 1996...anyway, I saw this very cool little guitar. I loved the color and that it was only 3/4 neck. It was also really affordable! At the time I thought 300 bucks was a lot, but considering it's worth between 1500-2000, I'm pretty stoked. I wish I could buy another one now!



Now below, is the most recent guitar that has joined our collection. I give you...THE HONDO!!! Yes, of course it's from the 80's!! Check out the ads for HONDO GUITARS...hilarious. I guess we have the "Center Stage" guitar!!






I'm not sure why I found this comparison interesting....if anyone can come up with some magnificient metaphor about how this reflects a deeper transition in my life, please comment. Everything I'm coming up with sounds depressing....
